BEFORE YOU BEGIN, EAT SOMETHING

Make sure you eat before you begin drinking, as eating will slow your absorption of alcohol and give you more time to enjoy your beer.

HAVE A GLASS OF WATER

A drink of water between alcoholic drinks and before bed helps to keep you hydrated, for a more enjoyable drinking experience.

DRINK THE RIGHT AMOUNT

There are guidelines to help you protect your health, 3 - 4 units for men and 2 - 3 units for women. Do remember that one drink does not always mean one unit, so choosing a smaller bottle or glass is a good idea.

DO A LITTLE PLANNING

Avoid unnecessary risk to others by planning how you will get home in advance.
